Etowa Waz is a young apprentice and disciple of Jirou, and works at his establishment (which is currently a street stall/booth). She is noted to be from the Canaan tribe, which is also the ethnic group associated with the sailor uniform costumes in stock at the secondhand shop.
Etowa is a young member of the Canaan tribe and becomes Jirou Ayase’s first official apprentice. Introduced through the guild’s apprentice agency, she is a remarkably gifted mathematician hired to assist with his market stall. Her sharp mind, energetic speech, and cheerful personality—paired with her distinctive feline features—make her a memorable and valuable part of Jirou’s growing group.
Etowa is a werecat, classified as a “Level 3” beast-person. She has a feline head with a blue-gray striped pattern and white fur underneath. Standing around 140 cm tall, her entire body is covered in soft, dense fur. She styles the fur on her head with oil so it resembles human hair.
Her hands and feet are slightly sturdier than a human’s but remain fully functional, and are also covered in fur. She typically wears simple, modest clothing, but she occasionally dons her tribe’s traditional outfit, which coincidentally resembles a sailor-style uniform.
Etowa is lively, talkative, and highly observant. She speaks in rapid, logical bursts, often working through her thoughts aloud. Despite occasionally facing cautious reactions due to her tribe’s appearance, she maintains a positive outlook and confidently highlights her strengths during her interview.
She is dedicated and hardworking, taking pride in arriving early to prepare the shop. Her intelligence and mathematical talent allow her to handle complex tasks with ease. A characteristic habit, typical for her tribe, is her soft purring or nuzzling when shown friendly affection—something she views as normal communication among Canaan people.
As a Canaan tribeswoman with the rare [Mathematician] vocation, Etowa had been registered with the guild’s apprentice agency for over a year. Many potential employers hesitated due to unfamiliarity with her tribe. Her father serves in the Erishe military police.
She was eventually introduced to Jirou Ayase as a potential apprentice. She impressed him immediately by solving word problems and logic puzzles with exceptional speed. Jirou, recognizing her skill and valuing her abilities, hired her promptly. She now works at his fabric stall, handling sales, calculations, and inventory with flawless accuracy.
Later, she was appointed Treasurer within the Knights of Artemis due to her mathematical expertise.
She views him as her "Boss" She is grateful he hired her based on ability and treats him with enthusiastic respect.
At first, she was surprised by Diana’s noble background and unique circumstances. Over time, she began calling Diana "Sis" resulting in a friendly—sometimes mildly competitive—dynamic.
She also refers to Marina as “Sis” and gets along well with her. Marina often joins Jirou in friendly gestures like patting Etowa on the head, which Etowa enjoys in a lighthearted way.
A coworker and friend. They share an easygoing, supportive relationship as members of the same household and workplace.
