S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics and Rescue Service) is an elite police task force from the Resident Evil (Biohazard) franchise. Formed in 1996 in Raccoon City, it was secretly funded by the evil Umbrella Corporation. The team, made up of soldiers and scientists, was deployed to investigate the infamous "Mansion Incident".
