Lucreion Aquamarine von Hanouk initially appearing under the name Ion, is a character introduced as a fugitive living under the protection of the Demon, Shamash Aureole. Once the Third Princess and a potential successor to the Hanouk Empire's throne, she now bears the "Prison Crest"—a mark of a broken spirit contract—and seeks redemption and a chance at a new life with the help of Jirou Ayase and his companions.
Lucreion is a young woman with a striking, ethereal beauty, though it is marred by her condition. She possesses long, translucent light-blue hair and piercing, blood-red eyes—both hallmarks of the "scorched" state. Her most defining feature is the complex, writhing black tattoos known as the Prison Crest that cover every visible inch of her skin, coiling like snakes. She is slender and carries herself with a residual grace, but years on the run have left her pale and often dressed in concealing, humble clothing like a black hooded robe.
Lucreion's personality is defined by profound trauma, guilt, and a weary longing for peace. Once a naive and idealistic princess, she has been shattered by betrayal, loss, and the brutal consequences of a political conspiracy she was too young to understand. She is deeply melancholic, prone to self-deprecation, and blames herself entirely for the tragedy that befell her loved ones.
Despite her shattered state, a core of resilience remains. She is courageous in her own way, having survived over a year in hiding, and demonstrates sincere gratitude and humility. She has no desire for revenge, only wishing to let her mother know she is safe and to live quietly, absolved of the marks that physically manifest her guilt. Her relationship with Shamash shows her capacity for deep trust and affection.
Lucreion was born the daughter of the Empress, making her a high-ranking successor in the Hanouk Imperial line. At age ten, she manifested the rare and prestigious [General] Vocation—the same as her father, the Emperor—which immediately made her a political lightning rod and the target of her half-brothers' jealousy.
As a teenager, she fell in love with her tutor, the legendary mercenary leader Isaac Maithry. Unbeknownst to her, she was manipulated by court factions (notably the Solo family) who supported her eldest brother. Tricked into a spirit contract under the guise of a "trial of love," she was sent on a quest with Isaac. When she failed to meet the contract's hidden deadline, her blessing was stripped away, and the Prison Crests manifested. Isaac was framed for her abduction, captured upon returning to the capital to save her, and executed. Lucreion was forced to flee, eventually finding refuge with Shamash Aureole in the Lucraella mines, where she has lived in hiding for over a year.
Lucreion's original abilities have been stripped from her, but traces remain:
[General] Vocation (Former)
Before losing her blessing, she possessed the rare [General] Vocation, indicating a innate talent for strategy, tactics, and leadership. This training left her physically fit enough to survive on the run.
Survival Skills
Has developed basic survival and evasion skills during her year as a fugitive.
Knowledge of Imperial Court Politics
Has intimate, firsthand knowledge of the factions, personalities, and dark machinations within the Hanouk Imperial court.
The Ceremonial Dagger
An exquisite, jeweled dagger with a Damascus blade, identical to one owned by Shello Roth. It was a gift from her father, made to match one given to Isaac. It is her most prized possession and a symbol of her lost past.
Hooded Robe
Worn to conceal her distinctive features and Prison Crests from public view.
Shamash Aureole
Her protector, guardian, and closest friend. Shamash took her in when she had nowhere else to go, and their bond is akin to sisters. Lucrion's safety and future are Shamash's primary motivations.
Isaac Maithry (Deceased)
Her tutor and unrequited love. She idolized him and believes her naive feelings led directly to his brutal execution. His death is the core of her trauma and guilt.
Jirou Ayase
The merchant she views as her potential savior. She trusts him due to Shamash's belief in him and his calm, non-judgmental reaction to her Prison Crests. She accepts that aiding her will place a burden on him.
Rebecca Roth
A figure from her past, as Rebecca was a member of Isaac's Scarlet Wedge mercenary group. Their reunion is intensely painful, as Lucrion knows she is the indirect cause of Isaac's death and the group's dissolution. She fully accepts Rebecca's hatred and sees facing her as a form of deserved punishment.
The Current Emperor (Her Eldest Brother)
Her primary persecutor. Motivated by jealousy of her Vocation and fear she would be chosen as successor, he sanctioned the plot against her and likely continues to seek her death.
