【Serious】 The Mirror in My House Connected to Another World - Page 18

742: Anonymous Fairy

What happened after that?

743: Anonymous Fairy

Apparently, Mugen-san went to meet OP-san.

No updates since, so I don't know if the mirror got fixed.

744: Anonymous Fairy

An offline meeting for just the two of them...?

745: Anonymous Fairy

Why were we not invited?

746: Anonymous Fairy

Because we have too much ambition...

747: Anonymous Fairy

We're the ones who've been watching over OP this whole time!

748: Anonymous Fairy

You could also call it "stalking".

749: Anonymous Fairy

    746

Realistically, if they held a massive meetup and Mugen-san brought his Elf wife, an "incident" would be unavoidable.

750: Anonymous Fairy

Don't lump us in with an Orc like you!

751: Anonymous Fairy

Mugen-san's love for Elves was so strong he actually married one!

752: Anonymous Fairy

Dreams come true if you believe!

753: Anonymous Fairy

Hey guys, check this out.

〈Image URL〉

754: Anonymous Fairy

Eh? OP-san? Did he come back?

755: Anonymous Fairy

Wait, wait.

What's the image?

756: Anonymous Fairy

A physical photo...? Impossible...

757: Anonymous Fairy

It's not digital data.

It's a real print of Dark Elf-chan.

758: Anonymous Fairy

I'm so jealous!

Where did you get that?

Did you buy it from some shady foreigner in Ueno!?

759: Anonymous Fairy

Didn't he just print it himself?

760: Anonymous Fairy

No, this is a new shot of Dark Elf-chan.

Look at the Slave Crest...

761: Anonymous Fairy

Holy crap, you're right!

The tattoo is gone!

She's not a slave anymore?

762: Anonymous Fairy

Here's another one.

〈Image URL〉

763: Anonymous Fairy

Isn't that the mask from before?

So that means...

764: Anonymous Fairy

It's a reward for passing the info about Mugen-san to OP-san on the auction site.

Pretty cool, right?

765: Anonymous Fairy

Lucky!

Did he give it to you for free?

Did you lick it yet?

766: Anonymous Fairy

Just images won't be enough to satisfy you eventually.

Just don't try to find his house.

You'll literally get arrested.

767: Anonymous Fairy

Any more info?

Did you hear anything else from OP-san?

768: Anonymous Fairy

    766

No way I'm doing a surprise visit—I'm a grown adult.

Besides, I don't even know his address.

Apparently OP managed to meet Mugen-san.

    The mirror's been fixed too.

So he'll probably be back sooner or later.

769: Anonymous Fairy

So OP really was doing auctions...

770: Anonymous Fairy

Making a living by selling items from another world on online auctions.

That's mind-blowing.

771: Anonymous Fairy

But now that his auction identity is exposed, it'll be hard for him to come back, won't it?

772: Anonymous Fairy

Yeah, that account has gone completely silent since then.

773: Anonymous Fairy

I mean, if you're exposed and you keep openly listing items from another world, that's scary.

If the government finds out, it'll be a global-scale upheaval.

774: Anonymous Fairy

If he's caught, that mirror is getting confiscated for sure.

775: Anonymous Fairy

If the other world is the future Earth like Mugen-san said...

Maybe OP-san's mirror won't be confiscated for the same reason Dora*mon isn't confiscated.

776: Anonymous Fairy

You mean notices have come from the future to each country?

"Do not interfere with this individual" ?

And OP will become the foundation of a brilliant future…?

777: Anonymous Fairy

That's straight out of a doujin plot.

778: Anonymous Fairy

Maybe he just made a new account to keep selling?

If he was getting his income from auctions, he can't just quit that easily.

779: Anonymous Fairy

Can't he just move his life's base to the other world?

780: Anonymous Fairy

Maybe he was making money over there by selling Japanese goods.

Either way, he needs money.

Even buying stuff like GABAN isn't cheap.

781: Anonymous Fairy

Honestly, he could just pick junk out of the trash to sell.

Don't know their civilization level,

but aluminum cans, steel cans—those would sell.

Even PET bottles.

782: Anonymous Fairy

Easy to say,

But that's suspicious as hell.

783: Anonymous Fairy

OP already has a Knight Order.

He doesn't need shady business.

He could just make photo books and sell those.

Actually, opening a photo studio might be profitable.

They probably don't even have photography.

784: Anonymous Fairy

You're a genius.

785: Anonymous Fairy

Or he could run an adult entertainment shop...

786: Anonymous Fairy

You're a genius.

787: Anonymous Fairy

If OP runs it... and we go as customers...?

788: Anonymous Fairy

He could earn both yen and other-world currency.

Two birds with one stone.

789: Anonymous Fairy

I'd pay 100,000... no, even 200,000...

790: Anonymous Fairy

Considering it includes a trip to another world,

200,000 would be cheap.

From a business standpoint, even a million wouldn't be expensive.

791: Anonymous Fairy

He should organize an Other-World Pleasure Tour.

Elf rituals, fighting monsters, eating local food,

And at night, touring the adult district.

One night, two days—1 million yen. It'd sell out instantly.

792: Anonymous Fairy

Sounds like a tour where people would constantly "go missing" by running away in the middle of the night...

793: Anonymous Fairy

Wait, all the Knights' Order members working as prostitutes in OP-san's brothel...?

794 : OP ◆ Xc544iUoWE

My shop is wholesome! I won't have them working at brothels!

795: Anonymous Fairy

!?

796: Anonymous Fairy

OP-san!

797: OP ◆ Xc544iUoWE

Long time no see, I'm OP.

Sorry for worrying you all when the mirror broke.

I successfully met up with Mugen-san.

The mirror is fixed, and I'm back in the other world.

It's all thanks to you guys.

Thank you.

798: Anonymous Fairy

Don't mention it.

We're bros, aren't we?

799: Anonymous Fairy

Yeah, exactly.

This thread only exists because of you, OP-san.

800: Anonymous Fairy

As long as you provide the images!

801: OP ◆ Xc544iUoWE

I thought you might say that, so I've got some ready.

First, the image...

I went and made a K-A-T-A-N-A.

〈Image URL〉

802: Anonymous Fairy

He did it!

803: Anonymous Fairy

Whaaaat, seriously?

That's a perfect Japanese sword.

How'd you do it?

804: OP ◆ Xc544iUoWE

Dwarf blacksmith's super-technique.

805: Anonymous Fairy

The curve is perfect.

The form is beautiful.

It even has a proper temper line (hamon).

Are you sure this isn't just an image you pulled from somewhere?

806: Anonymous Fairy

You can't make a Japanese sword that easily.

Did you just make it look like one?

807: OP ◆ Xc544iUoWE

This time, I had our strongest swordsman give a demonstration with that Katana.

I'm getting the video ready, so hold your horses.

808: Anonymous Fairy

Even if she's the "strongest" she's probably a total amateur when it comes to a "draw-and-slice" weapon like a Katana.

809: Anonymous Fairy

Don't underestimate the Katana.

She'll probably use it like a Western sword and ruin the edge immediately.

810: Anonymous Fairy

I bet she snaps it.

811: Anonymous Fairy

Who's the strongest swordsman?

812: Anonymous Fairy

I'll lose it if OP-san just casually appears in it.

813: Anonymous Fairy

If he went to the trouble of making a video, she must be able to cut something.

It'll probably be like those overseas "KATANA" videos.

814: Anonymous Fairy

Like the ones on the Cold Steel website...?

815: Anonymous Fairy

If she's doing test-cuts in a T-shirt and jeans, it'll feel very "authentic KATANA."

816: OP ◆ Xc544iUoWE

Thanks for waiting.

〈Image URL〉

817: Anonymous Fairy

Wait, what? How many times did she just cut that?

818: Anonymous Fairy

Are you serious?

The blade was so fast I couldn't even see the strokes!

Also, who is this girl?

819: Anonymous Fairy

This is insane.

Can I post this on the Swordsmanship board?

820: Anonymous Fairy

The way she sheathes the sword with a cool face while looking slightly smug is so cute lol.

821: Anonymous Fairy

Who was this again? A new face?

822: Anonymous Fairy

   819

   Don't.

823: Anonymous Fairy

How many times did she cut?

Based on the pieces, was it three times?

824: Anonymous Fairy

I think she's new.

Being this beautiful and the strongest swordsman...

Man, I really want to go to another world.

825: Anonymous Fairy

She'd chop you into pieces.

826: Anonymous Fairy

Four times.

And she's cutting from the ground up, so from the second cut onward, she's cutting a straw bundle that has no support from the ground.

827: Anonymous Fairy

Isn't that supposed to be really hard?

828: Anonymous Fairy

It's beyond hard.

There probably isn't a single person in Japan who could pull off a stunt like that.

829: Anonymous Fairy

Maybe it's CG...?

830: Anonymous Fairy

She's slicing through unsupported straw with a horizontal stroke...

831: Anonymous Fairy

Is the horizontal cut especially difficult?

832: Anonymous Fairy

If you're off-center even by a hair, the thing will just fly away the moment you hit it.

833: Anonymous Fairy

She's a total sword saint...

What is going on in OP-san's neighborhood...?

834: Anonymous Fairy

Maybe this is a warning to us.

"Try to show up uninvited, and this is what happens!"

835: Anonymous Fairy

Even if she's the "strongest," that's just in OP-san's circle, right?

Which means that world might be crawling with people like this.

836: Anonymous Fairy

I totally underestimated how violent that world is...

837: Anonymous Fairy

But damn, she's cool.

I'm a fan of that gorgeous silver hair she's got in a ponytail.

838: Anonymous Fairy

Is this girl also a member of OP-san's harem?

His circle is way too full of beauties.

839: Anonymous Fairy

SO JEALOUS! I'M GONNA DIE!

840: Anonymous Fairy

If only I had a mirror...

841: Anonymous Fairy

...Actually, she doesn't even have to be an Elf, does she?

My eyes have been opened.

I'm going on a trip to Eastern Europe.

Instead of crying about not having a mirror, I've gotta have the guts to go find a wife myself.

842: Anonymous Fairy

Wait, really...?

You're going to look for a real 3D blonde wife...?

843: Anonymous Fairy

Picking Eastern Europe immediately. A true pro.

844: Anonymous Fairy

Are you serious about going?

Take me with you.

845: Anonymous Fairy

What is this thread turning into?

846: Anonymous Fairy

Alright, let's do this.

Baltic states or Ukraine?

I'll post my email, let's hammer out a plan.

847: Anonymous Fairy

They're actually serious.

848: Anonymous Fairy

Apparently, the girls over there are pretty forward.

If you can actually meet them, you've got a chance.

849: Anonymous Fairy

As long as you're a heavy drinker.

The drinking tolerance of foreigners is no joke.

850: Anonymous Fairy

Well, this isn't the place for this.

Once the plan is set, I'll start a separate thread.

851: Anonymous Fairy

I'm looking forward to it.

Capture an Eastern European fairy and let us live the dream through you.

852: Anonymous Fairy

The language barrier seems like it'll be the first struggle.

I guess I'll start by studying English...

853: Anonymous Fairy

You guys are way off-topic.

Go to the Eastern Europe board.

854: Anonymous Fairy

This kind of tangent is normal for this thread!

"Phew..."

I played around on the thread for a bit, then shut down my PC. It had been a while since I'd spent time on the thread.

Putting the adult shop idea aside, running a photo studio actually didn't sound like a bad idea.

My life's foundation was gradually coming together, and I felt like I was finally integrating into society through the Knights' Order. Photography would be a brand-new technology in this world, so I'd have to be careful, but I could probably pass it off as some kind of magical tool.

The number of knight squad members has also increased, and it's turning into quite a large organization. If I don't expand the scale of the business to some extent, just feeding the knights alone could put us in the red. We also need to prepare equipment, and horses too.

Rebecca-san said they would handle things themselves, but I couldn't just leave it at that. She has a dangerous streak—she's liable to join a war on a whim with a mercenary mindset. The Knights are a combat group, so that's one way to go, but since we aren't mercenaries, I'd prefer to stay as far away from war as possible.

Well, this world has the Hitotsuzuki, and I'm told providing combat strength for that brings in a decent income, so there's no need to rush.

As for the buyer who told me Mugen-san was on the thread, I sent them a physical print of Marina (it was just a photo I'd developed, though) along with the mask they'd won. They offered to pay for it, but since I'd ignored them for over a month, I firmly declined the payment as an apology.

I received a passionate thank-you email immediately after it arrived, so they seemed happy. They asked if they could brag about it on the thread; I said okay, but I get the feeling Marina is starting to gain an idol-like following. Well, Elves have always been popular on the thread, so I guess it makes sense.

"Well, putting that aside..."

First, the practical stuff.

To summarize the situation around me:

1. Artemis Knight Order

Running the knight squad costs money, but at the moment, there's no income.

Our first job will likely be assisting with the Hitotsuzuki. We'll receive payment from the guild, and apparently there will also be a reward from the money earned by selling the last monster's magic crystal.

That said, we're only helping with the Hitotsuzuki near Shello-san's home, so it probably won't be a huge profit.

For now, the priority is to steadily build recognition and a track record through consistent activities.

I want to develop it slowly and carefully, without rushing.

2. Artemis Luxury Fabric Specialty Shop

This is the new store.

The shop itself has already been rented. The rent is three gold coins—not cheap—but the location is excellent.

Because of various circumstances, it still hasn't opened. To be precise, it was because the mirror had been broken.

At first, it probably won't make any money at all. But the goal is to run a shop that caters to a handful of extremely wealthy clients. It just needs to be a store used by the top 1% of the wealthy in Erishe.

The problem is how to attract that 1%, but for that, we'll just have to rely on word of mouth. I'd like to give Milk Pearl-san some clothing, but she refuses to accept things like that, so I can't use her as a promotional figure.

Still, we have the knight squad, and we also have Diana, who draws a lot of attention. It should work out somehow.

The main products will be luxury fabrics, along with items like the katana forged by Master Dargos.

Once the business gets on track, I plan to make it membership-based and quietly start selling high-priced Japanese products that are otherwise difficult to move.

It's quite a dramatic shift—from a bargain street stall to an ultra-high-end store—but if I'm going to sell goods from Japan, this method should be the best.

As for staff, the girls who joined the knight squad are currently being trained by Etowa and Elepipi. That should work out too.

3. Street Stall

I plan to keep the street stall running as well.

The products there won't really compete with those at the luxury fabric shop, and it's also useful as a source of work for the knights.

The stall rent is ridiculously cheap, so depending on how things go, I might increase the space I'm renting.

It might also be interesting to sell the folding knives forged by Master Dargos exclusively at the stall.

4. Hitotsuzuki

Even during knight training, monster appearances have been increasing.

Apparently, this is a sign that the Hitotsuzuki is approaching. Sure enough, the two moons are now very close together—close enough that they look like they might touch.

When they do, the Awasezuki begins, and monster spawns increase even further.

And once they completely merge into one—the Hitotsuzuki—monsters will start appearing continuously without pause. Just like what we experienced in Lukuraela.

That's why, before it happens, warriors need to be gathered and preparations made—or things will get very dangerous.

Lukuraela had it easy since they could just close off the mountain, but in Erishe, personnel have to be properly stationed at monster hotspots around the area.

Since we'll be helping as well, it might be a good idea to review anti-monster combat once more.

5. Matters Related to Mugen-san

I haven't sold the spirit stones yet, but the temptation of 100 million yen is hard to resist.

Well, I'll probably end up selling them anyway. Honestly, I'm not that conflicted about it.

I'd also like to meet him again to ask about the Hitotsuzuki and other things.

I should organize my questions.

"I guess that's everything..."

I listed the current state of affairs on paper. In reality, there are many other things—like Diana's "Special Guidance."

But first, I need to open the shop, get it on track, and get through the Hitotsuzuki.
