Side: Riel
Now, we're midway through the dungeon management phase.
Honestly, I never thought we'd be able to build a village—or even a city—with our own hands. But with Yuki-san's Dungeon Master abilities, the nine of us can handle almost all the work.
I look over the paper where our current progress is written down.

There are a lot of comments from Yuki-san written throughout, but everything is so detailed that even I can understand it.
But...
"""Reduce the Monster Unit Enhancement budget!"""
Eris, Ratz, and Milly immediately pushed back.
"Whoa, out of nowhere!? Isn't this a nice distribution!?"
"I don't understand these 'firearms,' but if the traps can handle an entire army, why do we need more weapons?"
"Urgh..."
Yuki-san groaned under Eris's sharp logic.
"We'd love to accommodate Onii-san's wishes, but investing 100,000 DP in this is out of the question! Please reduce it to at least 30,000 DP."
"Less than half!?"
Ratz casually slashed the budget to less than half.
"I'm sorry, but I think we need enough DP to operate for at least three years with no income."
"...I agree."
Milly gave her reason apologetically.
Yuki-san seemed to understand and backed down easily. I wonder... did he already know he was pushing his luck?
"Hey, guys. What are we deciding next? We've already finished building the 'Floor Details' and 'Resident Housing,' right? If there's nothing else, I want to go try things out at the military training facility."
I spoke up with my own interests in mind.
"Riel, you're soft. Softer than the ice cream I ate here for the first time. What we're deciding now is..."
Ratz glanced at Milly.
"We're deciding what luxury goods to stock, and how many!"
Milly shouted, thrusting her fist into the air (though she just hit the ceiling).
"To put it simply... yes, this is where we decide things like whether to increase the fish dishes Riel likes, or whether to stock strange weapons,"
Eris explained with a wry smile.
"And we have to decide the prices for those luxuries too," Yuki-san added.
"What...!? In that case, stock those eight-pointed shuriken! I want more of those! Make them about one copper coin each! And short swords for the same price!"
Since coming here, Yuki-san has given me weapons from "Japan." Their quality is incredible. Shuriken perfectly fit my style—I can throw them like arrows to deal damage. And the short swords and katanas? The sharpness is unreal!
If we sell those, they'll definitely be popular! Especially if they're cheap!
"Are you an idiot!? How much do you think shuriken and short swords cost!? One shuriken is 50 DP. Short swords and katanas start at 500 DP. You want to sell those for one copper? Are you mocking us?"
"Eek!?"
Ratz snapped at me with terrifying intensity.
W-Why is she so mad...?
"Now, now, Ratz, calm down. Tell me, Riel. Back when you were an adventurer, how much did you earn in a day?"
"Eh? Out of nowhere? Um, at most 5 silver coins, at least about 7 copper coins? I was amazing, you know!! 5 silver coins in a day!! I earned half a gold coin in a day!! One gold coin can support a family of four for a month."
I stated my old earnings with full confidence.
"Hoh. Riel-jouchan, when I helped with your training, I thought you were capable, but you were earning well too, huh? Your rank was... what, 5? Maybe 6?"
"Ohh, as expected of the Hero of Defense!! I was Rank 6. Well, Mobu-san is Rank 8 though."
"Darn right. I've put in my time. I'm not so soft that the Riel-jouchan could overtake me just yet."
Mobu-san chuckled.
Since I don't have much of a role in these meetings, I mostly spend my time chatting idly with Mobu-san and his crew. Yesterday, when the training facility was finished, I trained with them, Tori, and Kaya until dinner.
"Riel, sorry to interrupt the chat. An average person earns about 2 to 4 copper coins a day. The dungeon receives 1 DP per hour from a regular person. That means we get 24 DP a day from them."
"Yeah, I get that."
"You earned more than most, but let's assume the minimum of 7 copper equals 24 DP." Eris walked to the whiteboard and wrote it down. "The shuriken you wanted costs 50 DP. That means you'd have to work more than two days just to buy one. A short sword or katana at 500 DP is twenty days' wages. If we sell them for one copper, our DP will vanish in the blink of an eye. Do you understand?"
"Yeah. Sorry for being thoughtless, Ratz. I got a little carried away."
"No, I'm sorry for yelling. But thanks to Riel's story, we now have a rough exchange rate for DP."
"Yes. Roughly 24 DP to 5 copper coins? We'll need to adjust based on the item, of course."
Eris and Ratz continued their discussion. I slumped a little, my eyes slightly watery. I guess I really am useless.
"Riel, don't look so down. You said something very important. Thanks to you, the conversation is moving forward."
Yuki-san patted my head.
"Was what I said actually helpful?"
"Yeah. Those 'strange weapons' you mentioned will likely become a local specialty. And we figured out the approximate value of money versus DP. Good job."
As I was talking with Yuki-san...
"Hehehe. Eris, Ratz! Since you understand the value of DP now, I have a proposal!"
Milly shouted to get their attention.
"What is it, Milly?"
"What kind of proposal?"
"We should sink 5,000 DP into stocking ultra-high-end 'Romanee-Conti' and 'Ballantine's XX Years'! It will give the residents a goal to work toward!"
""Shut up, you drunkard!""
Milly seems to be losing it over the alcohol. Even I can tell from the earlier conversation how stupid it would be to sink 5,000 DP into that.
"Ratz-san, I want these!"
In the middle of the bickering, Aslin toddled over and handed a piece of copy paper to Ratz.
"Ice cream, potato chips, chocolate... Milly, don't you have a pure heart like this?"
"Nuuu... Aslin!! Don't you want to drink delicious booze!?"
"Fue!?"
"Enough! Aslin-chan, come here. This woman is just a liquor maniac!"
Things are getting heated. But if I write down what I want like Aslin did, maybe it'll be easier for Ratz to understand? I reached for some paper, but then...
"Um!! Could you listen to us!?"
The Saints, who had been silent until now, spoke up.
"...What is it? A complaint?" Milly glared with cold eyes. I think it can't be helped, but she's not the type to let things slide. Kaya seems the same.
"No. The budget for the medical and security facilities we discussed the other day hasn't been included. Please reconsider."
...I just noticed. The one speaking is Rurua-sama. It's always been Elju-sama until now; I wonder if she's had a change of heart? But I didn't have time to wonder for long.
"Ah, I forgot. Sorry, I'll add the budget."
"Let's take it out of Onii-san's reduced budget."
"How cruel!?"
And so, the meeting overflowed with everyone's demands for luxury goods.
"I-I better write down the things I like too!"
